The Rocky Pro is in a different league from the budget bikes on this site, and its price reflects it. A 48 V 25 Ah battery built with Samsung cells adds up to 1,200 Wh, more than double most of our picks, and the motor peaks at 2,500 W with 120 Nm of torque, enough to climb slopes of up to 30 degrees.
It also gets the details right. The 2026 version switched to a torque sensor for natural pedal assist, the brakes are hydraulic discs (180 mm, 4-piston according to dealers), and the full-suspension frame with a lockable hydraulic fork and 20 × 4-inch fat tires soaks up rough ground. There's a color LCD with keyless start and a USB-C port to charge your phone.
FREESKY claims up to 105 miles with pedal assist; dealers quote a more cautious 45–90 miles, which is still the longest range in our lineup. It's UL 2849 certified and comes with a 24-month warranty on the motor, battery, controller, charger and frame, the longest here.
The catches: at about 77 lb it's heavy, the frame fits riders from 5'1" to 5'11", so taller riders should look elsewhere, and at $1,199 it's the most expensive bike we review. Speeds above 20 mph also go beyond Class 2 rules in many places.
Best for: Riders who want one bike that can do long distances, steep hills, sand and trails, and are willing to pay for real brakes and suspension.
