The EX6 is aimed at riders who want fat-tire comfort without a tall, sporty frame. The low step-through design makes it easy to get on, and the 20 × 4-inch tires and front fork smooth out rough streets, gravel, sand and snow.
Its strongest number is range. The 48 V 14.5 Ah battery works out to about 696 Wh, and Hiboy claims up to 75 miles with pedal assist (measured with a 165 lb rider) and about 40 miles on throttle. Real-world range will be lower, but the battery is genuinely large for a 500 W bike.
Power is modest: 500 W rated and 960 W peak. Top speed is 20 mph on throttle and up to 25 mph with pedal assist, and Hiboy rates it for hills up to about 20%. It comes with fenders, integrated lights with a brake-activated rear light, a backlit LCD and a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain.
Two caveats. Amazon's listing contradicts itself on weight and battery size, so we only show figures we could confirm. And at full price it's one of the more expensive bikes here, so it makes the most sense when it's on sale, as it is now.
Best for: Riders who value comfort and range over speed, want an easy-to-mount frame and ride on mixed or rough surfaces.
