The RetroVolt goes for the moped look that's popular on beach paths and campuses: a long, flat padded seat, a big round headlight and chunky 20 × 4-inch fat tires. Underneath the style there are solid numbers, with a 2,000 W peak motor, 99 Nm of torque and a removable 48 V 15 Ah battery that works out to about 720 Wh.
Jasion claims up to 70 miles of range and lists up to 30 mph, which puts it well beyond Class 2 limits, so check what's allowed where you ride. Full suspension and the fat tires make it comfortable on rough streets and gravel, and the long seat can carry a short-trip passenger or cargo, within the 330 lb payload.
Five riding modes, a 7-speed drivetrain, a headlight with a horn and a brake-activated tail light round out the package. It arrives 85% assembled.
Jasion doesn't publish the weight, but a full-suspension, moped-style frame is never light. With 337 ratings averaging 4.3 stars, though, it has a much larger track record than most bikes at this price.
Best for: Riders who want a stylish, comfortable cruiser for beach paths, campus and town, with power to spare.
