The Jasion EB5 is one of the most reviewed e-bikes on Amazon, with more than 2,200 ratings, and at around $200 it's by far the cheapest bike in our lineup. For that price you get a 26-inch mountain-style bike with a 350 W motor (1,000 W peak), a removable 360 Wh battery, a front suspension fork, seven gears, dual lights and an LCD.
Expectations need to match the price. Top speed is 20 mph, the battery is small, and Jasion quotes 25–40 miles per charge, so plan on the lower end for real riding. Charging takes 5–6 hours.
On the plus side, at 49.6 lb it's lighter than most e-bikes here, and the puncture-resistant tires and simple steel frame make it a practical bike for short commutes, campus rides and light trails. The warranty is one year.
The rating split tells the story: 78% of buyers give it 4 or 5 stars, but 12% give it 1 star. Budget bikes vary more from unit to unit, so check everything carefully after assembly.
Best for: First-time buyers on a tight budget who want to try an e-bike for short commutes or campus rides.
